The Mayan People's use of satin stitching and the running stitch are now coupled with modern day influences and incorporate cross stitching and long arm stitching. The large cultural diversity is clearly seen through the vast scope of bright colors mixed within these works of art, which use their ancient weaving methods that are still carried out to this day.
